Appin Community Council

The statutory organisation representing Appin

Welcome to Appin Community Council's webpages. The Community Council is the 'grass-roots' tier of statutory representation in Scotland, bridging the gap between our local authority - Argyll & Bute Council - and the local community. Your Community Council works hard to ensure that the voice of the community is heard and does its upmost to ensure that matters are dealt with fairly throughout the community.

We hold meetings, generally in Appin Village Hall, approximately every two months to discuss local matters including roads, water,  recycling & litter, cycle track, health & education, planning applications, emergency response, school & public transport, broadband and more. Input from community members is extremely important - come along to the next meeting and get involved in local matters, everyone is welcome.

See the News section for next meeting dates and agendas. Minutes from previous meetings and AGMs are in the Documents section; this information is also displayed on the notice boards outside Port Appin Stores and Gunns Garage in Appin.

You can also report a pothole using our Report a pothole page.
